Description: What is suffering? How do we get our scenes to that level? Why would we? In this class, we will discuss what it means to suffer, the different ways people suffer in play and dynamics, and what to keep in mind while suffering through our kink. Aftercare and resources included.


Shalimar is a Leather boy, service pupper, bootblack, and service leader. They are a lifelong student who strives towards building aware communities that address ethics, equity, and safety. They have been in the mental health field for two years and have been in the community for seven years. Their goal is to address issues of accessibility and oppression within our communities and increase the dialogue around issues such as racism, abuse, gatekeeping, and sexism.

Nightgaunt8 is a self identified Master with long running interest in physical, sexual, and emotional sadism. Out and proud in San Diego since the beginning of 2011, He volunteers a great deal of time locally and abroad. Constantly seeking to improve his skills, He attends workshops, classes, and conferences regularly, and loves bringing back knowledge to share with the community. Multi volunteer award winner and former secretary for Club X SD, He has a penchant for rough body play, humiliation/objectification, sharps and watersports.

Identification
Attendees must present valid, physical government-issued identification for entry. The identification must include the attendee's legal first and last name as well as birthdate.

Covid-19:

We will be requiring masks and proof of vaccinations in order to attend. If you experience symptoms of being sick please do not show up.

YOU MUST BRING YOUR VACCINATION CARD WITH YOU OR A CLEAR DIGITAL PHOTO OF IT OR A Digital Covid-19 Record

We also understand that there are those who are not able to have the vaccine for medical reasons, so there will be a medical exemption with documentation from a medical professional.

The specific COVID-19 vaccine for which the exemption is requested.
A written statement signed by a licensed, treating medical provider (MD, DO, NP, PA), nurse practitioner (NP), or physician’s assistant (PA). The signed statement must include the practice location address, telephone number, fax number, signing provider’s license number, and state or country (if outside the U.S.) where the licensed medical provider practices.
The Patients First Name, Middle Initial(if available), Last Name.
No Digital exemptions will be allowed.
All exemptions will need to be printed and signed by the provider with all of the above information.
Without the items above the Exemption is invalid and will not be enforced.

For purposes of this protocol, people are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 at least 2 weeks after they have received the second dose in a 2-dose series (Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna), or at least 2 weeks after they have received a single-dose vaccine (Johnson and Johnson [J&J]/Janssen).

Accessibility: 

Event space is ADA compliant; door to restrooms (shared with restaurant) requires a big push.

Lighting: Fluorescent.

Smoking: Permitted outside.

Parking: Limited 2-hour parking in the ground-level lot; underground parking available for visits longer than 2 hours, subject to attendance (get to ground level via stairs, Ralph's escalator ramp, or elevator near Ralph's side door).

Transit access: Served directly by bus routes 1, 10, and 11 on University and Vermont; bus route 120 at 10th and University; buses 7 and 215 about 1/2 mile away at Park and University. NOTE: MARATHONS AND PARADES THAT RUN THROUGH HILLCREST WILL CUT OFF TRANSIT ACCESS ON UNIVERSITY AVE.
