What began as a playful collection of Barbie dolls has grown into one of San Diego Pride's most talked-about attractions. Through the Barbie Dream Dungeon, Club X President Lulu Lovemore uses nostalgia, creativity, and meticulous detail to challenge stereotypes about BDSM while promoting consent, education, and representation. This inspiring feature explores how a miniature pink dungeon has become a powerful celebration of diversity, community, and the many ways people discover, and proudly express, their authentic selves.
"Club X has been serving the San Diego BDSM, kink, and fetish community since 1995, when members of the local National Leather Association chapter chose to create an independent organization focused on the needs of their own community. More than three decades later, the nonprofit remains entirely volunteer-run and continues to serve as an educational and social hub for adults interested in consensual kink."
