About this workshop
The presenter will provide a rundown of how the leather community came to be and their experience of earning their leathers.

Presenter Bio
KZ (They/He) is a 47yr-old trans masculine gender queer pirate, born and raised in Detroit, MI. They joined the Marines at the ripe age of 17, traveled the world experiencing new things, eventually getting stationed at Camp Pendleton in 2009 and retired here in San Diego in 2013. KZ started their leather journey in 1999 while stationed in NC, eventually finding community in Seattle, WA and Portland, OR in 2000. KZ was very active in the Boys of Leather movement, enjoyed high protocol D/s, and being a student of different leather traditions. Today, KZ is more known for their involvement with the San Diego Leather History Project and supporting others in their leather projects and journeys.
