About this workshop:
Taking care of leathers can be a simple task, a service, or an erotic exchange of energy. For some it is a fetish for a type of boot, an act of community service, or an expression of service to a select few people. The individuals that take on the identity of being someone that cares for leathers and boots are often called bootblacks.  This class will be an introduction to the basics of taking care of high shine and oil tan boots and leather garments with some discussion on how it can be used in different contexts.

Attendees are invited to bring a basic pair of boots or a garment that needs some basic work (cleaning/conditioning) and any basic bootblacking supplies they may already own. There will be opportunities for some hands-on practice. If you don’t have supplies, the basics should be available to borrow.

Presenter Bio:
Bootpup Rune (he/they) is a leatherboy switch who started his kink and leather journey in 2016. They have a love for connecting with others through education and community volunteering. Rune has served on the board of Club X and is currently involved with San-Pah and FMSD. He is the 2025 San Diego Bootblack titleholder. Rune enjoys creativity with scenes and likes to encourage non-traditional ways of engaging in kink. Rune dabbles in many forms of play, but primarily enjoys bootblacking, petplay, bondage, and sharps.
