About this workshop:
This workshop offers a practical, skill-based approach to fisting by everyone's favorite Leather Daddy, Naria! Centering safety, preparation, and care, we’ll cover anatomy basics, pacing and positioning, risk awareness, sanitation and glove use, lube selection, communication during scenes, and how to recognize limits before they’re crossed. The class will also emphasize thorough aftercare - physical, emotional, and nervous-system support - so play can be sustainable and affirming. This is a hands-on knowledge space rooted in harm reduction, bodily autonomy, and informed consent.
Presenter Bio:
Naria (He/Him) is Southern California Leather Woman (SCLW) 2013, and Ms. San Diego Leather 2002. He is a longtime Radical Sex Perv Poly Daddy who has been involved in the Queer BDSM Community for 41 years as a practitioner, organizer, activist, and educator in the Kinky Arts. He co-founded two Women’s-only leather groups in Washington, DC–Lesborados and S/Mazons. He was a co-founder, editor, and writer for the collectively published “Black Leather...In Color” and was the facilitator of the Women’s BDSM Rap in San Diego from 2007-2014. He was also the Co-facilitator for the Women’s BDSM Forum in the Modesto/Central Valley area from 2004-2006. A writer, national speaker, presenter, photographer, and fancier of Fine Fierce Femme Women, Naria is a relentless sex educator, a misunderstood yet flaming Pisces, a true Water Tiger, and always enjoys pushing the envelope–as often as possible! Naria lives in San Diego with their Spousal Unit Bikkja Amy, and also with a household of assorted pervs, as well as 3 cats and 2 dogs.
Identification:
Attendees must present valid, physical government-issued identification for entry. The identification must include the attendee's legal first and last name as well as birthdate. (Must be 18 or older)
Accessibility:
- Accessibility: Narrow entry hall; one stair-step separates the main space from the kitchen and restrooms; venue now has a portable ramp that can be deployed on request. Steps lead to patio and fire pit. Venue itself is on a hill.
- Restrooms: Two ADA compliant single restrooms with grab bars.
- Lighting: Fluorescent, controlled by dimmers; colorful party lights aimed at ceiling in main room.
- Smoking: Permitted on patio.
- Parking: Small parking lot with one disabled space; the incline of the hill can make it difficult to keep car doors open; additional parking available on hill.
- Transit access: Limited access by one direct bus route that runs until approx. 9:45pm weeknights and approx. 8:30pm Saturdays; limited access by a bus stop 1/2 mile away (one way only) and a trolley station just over 1 mile away; check routes upon receiving address in will-call email.
