About this event

Step into the world of leather care with San Diego Bootblack 2024, Mischief, and Bootpup Rune as your guides! Bring along your favorite leather item from home and prepare to gain a thorough understanding of leather care fundamentals. From understanding the unique properties of different types of leather to the specific needs of your piece all while getting your hands dirty with practical techniques. Just a heads up: things might get a tad messy, so dress comfortably, perhaps in something you wouldn't mind doing the dishes in!

Please bring:

A Leather Item - Such as a flogger, paddle, garment, or matte (non-shiny) boots.

Please no high shine boots (these will be covered in a different class altogether, date TBD)

I will have a limited amount of project items to work on if you do are unable to provide your own

A soft rag - microfiber works best

A toothbrush or shaving brush

Plain glycerine soap bar

A spray bottle of water

A conditioner - such as Hubbard’s Shoe Grease, Leather Butter,Obenauf's Heavy Duty LP  or Chamberlain's Leather Milk

While COVID-19 continues to circulate globally, currently there is significantly less risk of severe illness, hospitalization and death compared to earlier in the pandemic. Club X encourages its members and guests to be vaccinated if possible to Covid-19 and to be current on their booster shots as applicable, to protect themselves against serious illness, hospitalization, and death. Club X encourages members to consider wearing high-quality masks if they are at elevated risk, as a courtesy to others, and as a matter of personal responsibility, we request anyone who has been knowingly exposed to Covid-19 wear a high quality mask for 10 days and get tested on day 5 as recommended by the current CDC guidelines.
