About this event
Fire play is enjoyed by many in and out of the kink community. When done well, it's a sensation unlike any other. In this 3-hour workshop the audience will be split between two groups of presenters the first hour, then switch groups for the second hour. The third hour the audience will be invited to try fire play hands on with open and guided demos.
Presenters IBuildThings and Joley will go over some basic safety, equipment, and some basic techniques with demos. Fire wands, paintbrushes, isopropyl alcohol, and butane bubbles and their use will be covered, and more advanced equipment discussed. Our third presenter, Smoke, will be doing a hands-on make and take of fire wands.
Presenter Bio:
In 2015, IBuildThings had the opportunity to begin learning fireplay from some experienced tops at a Club X San Diego event. Since then he has been showing people the joys of lighting each other on fire. When not taking part in sexualized pyrotechnics, IBuildThings enjoys building things like companies, motorcycles and dungeon equipment. He was also Club X VP in 2019, and Club X President in 2020.
Joley has been a member of Club X and the local kink community post pandemic. IBuildThings taught her everything he knew about fire play, and Joley has since added her own flare. You can often find Joley volunteering for and
hosting kink/BDSM/lifestyle parties, or frequenting comedy shows. IBuildThings and Joley have been setting bodies and hearts aflame together with fire play demos and workshops in the SoCal area the past year and a half.
Smoke is a self identified Master with long running interest in physical, sexual, and emotional sadism. Out and proud in San Diego since the beginning of 2011, He volunteers a great deal of time locally and abroad. Constantly seeking to improve his skills, He attends workshops, classes, and conferences regularly, and loves bringing back knowledge to share with the community. Multi volunteer award winner and former secretary for Club X SD, He has a penchant for rough body play, humiliation/objectification, sharps and watersports.

COVID-19
While COVID-19 continues to circulate globally, currently there is significantly less risk of severe illness, hospitalization and death compared to earlier in the pandemic. Club X encourages its members and guests to be vaccinated if possible to Covid-19 and to be current on their booster shots as applicable, to protect themselves against serious illness, hospitalization, and death. Club X encourages members to consider wearing high-quality masks if they are at elevated risk, as a courtesy to others, and as a matter of personal responsibility, we request anyone who has been knowingly exposed to Covid-19 wear a high quality mask for 10 days and get tested on day 5 as recommended by the current CDC guidelines. Do not attend Club X in-person events if you know or suspect you are Covid positive, or otherwise ill, and isolate in accordance with CDC guidelines. Club X reserves the right to require masking at an event if requested by the presenter. We will designate such events with “masks required” in the title.
